Day at the Zoo
As our (since last year) annual tradition, the girls and I spent the 4th of July at the Zoo.
Our zoo has been expanding, and every year they add a new attraction, sometimes permanent, sometimes seasonal. This year's seasonal one is Stingray Bay, where you can watch, feed and touch the stingrays, which have had their barbs clipped. I have a video of them which will be in a (near) future post. :-)
We took about 200 pictures of the animals (and some of us), and I have 4 or 5 critter videos - seems all the animals were in the holiday spirit this year - not sleeping in the shade as they usually are by the afternoon.
This first video is from the enclosure that has fruit bats & several gorgeous birds. The bats were resting, but there's a Bustard in there who likes to be watched, and had something to say when we started to walk away, so we came back and recorded him:
Funny, isn't he? More (other animals) videos to come!
