For Janet
Janet was asking me how I've been, and if I was going to post some bird pictures soon ('cause I said I would, oh, at least a month ago, now - I know, I suck), and since I haven't managed to do that yet, how about a couple of pictures of my bearded dragon? His name is Barley, and even though he looks all prickly & grumpy, he's actually very docile & laid back. He's cool. Poor guy had to go to the vet not too long ago, and then spent the next week (plus) having to take antibiotics. Yah, you can bet he loved that. He has forgiven me, though. :-) Here he is:
Isn't he handsome?

looks like he's doing push-ups on the log in the first pic! Impressive! Isn't he lonely? will you be getting a girlfriend for him? (that would make you a pimp, but we won't worry about fine distinctions like that.)
LOL !
No, no dragon-pimping for me! No, they're not exactly social flock animals. He's perfectly happy to have his space to himself. Of course, I've never actually asked him... But if you have more than one, you have to have a pretty big enclosure - he alone has a 55-gallon tank setup...
If I come to live with you, how much space will you give me?
Hmm. You might have to sleep in the living room, but how much space do you need? ;-)
Wow, I'm impressed. That so proves you are not a girlie girl, well unless you carry him in a cute bag like Paris. :)
J.T. would think you were the coolest for having this guy as a pet.
LOL, Survivin! No cute bags around here! Tell J.T. my daughters are cool, too - they have a leopard gecko, fire-belly toads, an African clawed frog (it's a water frog), and mice.
Yep, it's a zoo around here! :-D
hmm...I need roughly as much room as Barley. If someone can figure out how long he measures, multiply that by the square footage of a 55-gallon tank, then (insert mathematical term here) ratio? it with my height and comparable? tank space required... I'm just guessing here but I think you and the girls are gonna have to leave. ;-)
LOL, Janet! Yeah, there's definitely not a lot of extra space around here!
